Two Frenchmen, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Arnault, a canine educator and behaviorist, and Vincent Vermersch, an IT specialist, developed DDog, an AI-based conversational agent, launched in its final version in early December 2025. The Yiaho team reviews this new development, which might bring a smile, but can also be very useful for our animal friends! <\/p>\n

DDog: The “ChatGPT for dogs”<\/h2>\n

DDog operates on the principle of large language models like ChatGPT<\/a>, but it is exclusively dedicated to canine behavior questions.<\/p>\n

It provides answers to the most common questions from owners: house-training, puppy biting, managing separation anxiety, leash training, etc. The tool is designed to suit puppies as well as adult or senior dogs. <\/p>\n

Adapted to each profile<\/h3>\n

To get tailored answers, the user first provides a profile of their animal (age, breed, character, living context\u2026). DDog relies on the knowledge accumulated by Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Arnault over many years of support, as well as recognized ethological bases. <\/p>\n

The tool was tested for several months by the educator’s clients before its public release.<\/p>\n

An AI for dog behavior<\/h2>\n

The designers emphasize that DDog is strictly limited to the field of behavior: as soon as a question concerns health, diet, or seems to indicate a medical problem, the AI systematically refers the user to a veterinarian or a qualified professional.<\/p>\n

DDog is presented as a practical and always available complement, not as a substitute for in-person training or real interactions between the dog and its environment. Different access formulas have been planned, including a limited free version and paid subscriptions. This project aims to facilitate mutual understanding between dogs and owners, by offering a quick and consistent source of information on the most frequent behaviors.<\/p>\n
