Artificial intelligence is experiencing a stock market golden age.<\/p>\n

Nvidia, the king of AI chips, now exceeds $5 trillion in market capitalization. OpenAI, still private, is preparing its IPO for 2026 or 2027<\/a> with an estimated valuation of $1 trillion. Apple, which is increasingly integrating AI into its devices, has surpassed $4 trillion. <\/p>\n

These figures are staggering, but they rest on a promise: massive future revenues. In the meantime, the giants are spending without restraint. Google, Meta, and Microsoft invested a combined $78 billion in the last quarter, nearly 90% more than a year earlier. <\/p>\n

But a single grain of sand can be enough to derail the machine. The Yiaho team has even anticipated a catastrophic scenario, which isn’t as unlikely as it seems. <\/p>\n

The DeepSeek precedent<\/h2>\n

A few months ago, Chinese startup DeepSeek<\/a> released an open-source version of its model. Nothing revolutionary, but enough to make the markets doubt. Within hours, the stocks of Nvidia, Microsoft, and others dropped several points. A simple press release, an average demo, and fear set in. <\/p>\n

Investors realized that Chinese competition could emerge at any time, at low cost, without fanfare.<\/p>\n

China is ordering Nvidia chips, but what for?<\/h3>\n

Beijing just placed the largest order of Nvidia chips ever recorded. Seoul, via Samsung, is following suit. <\/p>\n

Officially, these components are used to develop local services. But nothing prevents them from being diverted to military labs or artificial intelligence research centers. Every chip sold from the United States could end up powering a direct competitor. <\/p>\n

American sanctions limit the export of cutting-edge technologies, but older models remain accessible. And China excels at optimizing them! <\/p>\n

A hidden fragility?<\/h3>\n

OpenAI<\/a> is chasing profitability. Grok, xAI’s AI, remains closely tied to Elon Musk’s personality. Other players depend on massive subsidies or public contracts. Even Sam Altman worries about an AI bubble<\/a>. Behind the billions, the ecosystem remains young, centralized, and vulnerable to a technological shock. <\/p>\n

Catastrophic scenario: the super-DeepSeek<\/h2>\n

Imagine: We’re in 2026 or 2027, a new version of DeepSeek appears. It generates videos smoother than Sora 2<\/a>, composes music more convincing than Suno, writes texts more nuanced than GPT-6<\/a>. All open-source, free, and trained on clusters of Nvidia chips. What would happen? <\/p>\n

Users would migrate to the new version of DeepSeek! Unlike social networks, where people have posted content for years on Facebook or Instagram (and even there, they eventually switched, like when they moved to TikTok), AI isn’t as emotionally anchored. <\/p>\n

If tomorrow a platform superior to ChatGPT, Yiaho, or Gemini appeared, users wouldn’t hesitate for a second to make the transition! American valuations would collapse. Investors, already nervous, would sell en masse. What looked like infinite growth would turn out to be just a bubble. <\/p>\n

An echo of the 2000 crash?<\/h3>\n

These mountains of money recall the 1990s, when the Internet made investors dream. In March 2000, the Internet bubble burst. Companies without revenue saw their stock prices divided by ten. <\/p>\n

AI could experience the same fate, but faster, more violent. Data centers already consume as much electricity as entire countries. Low-cost competition from the East would make these infrastructures obsolete overnight. <\/p>\n

And then? A crash wouldn’t signal the end of AI, any more than 2000 killed the Internet! But it would force players to prove their real value, not just their promises.
