Born on December 8, 1986, in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia (then Gorky, in the Soviet Union), Ilya Sutskever grew up against the backdrop of the upheavals at the end of the Soviet era.<\/p>\n

At the age of five, his family, of Jewish origin, emigrated to Israel, where he spent his childhood in Jerusalem. Those early years in a city rich in history and cultural diversity shaped his curious mind and love of learning.
