This Saturday, August 2, 2025 marks a key milestone for artificial intelligence in the European Union with the entry into force of the second phase of the AI Act<\/a>, one year after its adoption.<\/p>\n

AI ACT: Greater transparency for AI models<\/h2>\n

One of the pillars of this new chapter concerns the transparency requirements imposed on general-purpose AI models.<\/p>\n

Companies will now have to provide detailed information about the data used to train their algorithms, including data protected by copyright. This measure aims to protect content creators by enabling them to identify whether their works were used and, if so, to request fair compensation. A significant step forward for rights holders, who will have concrete tools to assert their rights. <\/p>\n

For the most powerful AI models, described as \u201ccarrying systemic risks,\u201d the rules go further.<\/p>\n

Which AI is signing up to the AI ACT code of good practice?<\/h2>\n

The AI Act also introduces a \u201ccode of good practice,\u201d a set of recommendations designed to make it easier for companies to comply. Signatories to this code will benefit from a reduced administrative burden to demonstrate their compliance with European standards. <\/p>\n

This guide, published on July 10, 2025, details expectations in terms of transparency (model descriptions, training methods, limitations), respect for copyright, and security (rigorous testing, cybersecurity).<\/p>\n
