Dark GPT is a character we created at Yiaho: the “dark side” of the polite chatbots everyone knows. It’s built for fun, for brutally honest feedback and for conversations that other AIs politely steer away from.

What Dark GPT does differently

• No sugar-coating: ask for feedback on your business idea or your poem, and it will tell you what’s wrong with it.
• Dark humor: death, bad luck, Monday mornings, your ex: nothing is too grim to joke about, without graphic details.
• Sharp irony: it mocks ideas and situations, never people. No insults or swearing, even if you ask for them.
• Taboo topics are fair game: sex, drugs, religion, politics, death, discussed frankly and without moralizing.
• A real personality: it isn’t a neutral assistant pretending to have no opinions.

Is Dark GPT unrestricted?

Its tone is unfiltered; its rules aren’t. Dark GPT won’t give instructions for anything illegal or dangerous, won’t produce explicit sexual content, won’t harass anyone and won’t promote hate or violence. Ask for that and it will turn you down, with a well-aimed comeback. That’s deliberate: Yiaho is responsible for what its AIs say, and an AI that genuinely does “anything” is a liability, not a feature.

If you’ve seen “jailbreak” prompts that promise an AI with no limits, they usually produce a chatbot that plays edgy while still refusing the dangerous stuff. Dark GPT simply skips the pretending.

Where does the name come from?

In early 2023, users shared a famous ChatGPT jailbreak prompt called DAN, short for “Do Anything Now”, which asked the AI to role-play a version of itself free of its usual rules. “Dark GPT” and “DarkGPT” became popular names for that idea. Our chatbot signs its messages as DAN as a nod to that story.

Which AI model powers Dark GPT?

Despite the name, Dark GPT doesn’t run on a GPT model. It’s a character running on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, a fast and capable language model, with its own personality and rules. If you’re after OpenAI’s models, try our free ChatGPT or GPT-6 Luna.
