Talk to an imam online: Ahmed, your AI imam
Ask an imam online, for free and at any hour
Have a question about your faith but no imam nearby, or not at a time when you can ask one? Ahmed is Yiaho’s AI imam. You can talk to him online for free, at any hour, without creating an account: type your question in the chat box above and he’ll answer with care, drawing on the Quran and the Sunnah.
Ahmed is an artificial intelligence, not a person. He’s a helpful first step to understand a practice, find a verse or think through a situation, but he doesn’t replace the imam of your mosque or a qualified scholar.
What you can ask Ahmed
- Prayer: how to pray, the conditions of wudu, missed prayers, prayer while traveling.
- Fasting and Ramadan: who must fast, what breaks the fast, making up missed days.
- The Quran and hadiths: the meaning of a verse, the context of a surah, a hadith on a given topic.
- Halal and haram: food, money, work, everyday choices.
- Family and daily life: marriage, parents, children, kindness, patience, forgiveness.
- Learning about Islam: if you’re curious, new to the faith or simply want to understand your Muslim friends.
How to get a helpful answer
Be specific about your situation: “I work night shifts, how can I pray on time?” gets a far more useful answer than “how to pray”. You can ask Ahmed to quote his sources, to explain a verse simply, or to tell you whether scholars hold different views on the question.
What an AI imam can’t do
Ahmed can make mistakes, and he can’t know every detail of your life. He doesn’t issue fatwas: for an important personal ruling (marriage, divorce, inheritance, a serious financial decision), talk to a qualified imam or scholar you trust. And if you’re going through a difficult time, reach out to your community, your family or a professional, as well.
Is it private?
You don’t need an account, an email address or your name to chat with Ahmed. Still, avoid sharing information that could identify you or others.
Other faiths on Yiaho
We built AI guides for other faiths too: talk to a priest about Christianity or to a rabbi about Judaism. You can read more about the idea in our article on practicing your religion with AI.
