AI is increasingly becoming an essential tool in the professional world, with significant adoption among younger generations.
A recent Apec study, published on June 2, 2025, highlights this dynamic and reveals significant trends in AI use by executives, as well as the growing acceptance of these technologies by companies.
Young Executives: Major AI Users
Those under 35 stand out as the most frequent users of artificial intelligence tools.
According to the study:
- 42% of those under 35 regularly integrate AI into their professional practices,
- 35% of those aged 35-54,
- 26% of those aged 55 and over.
This generational gap is explained by young people’s greater familiarity with digital technologies, as well as an openness to experimenting with innovative tools like ChatGPT or other generative AI solutions.
This widespread adoption reflects a transformation in work habits. Young executives, often comfortable with digital environments, leverage AI to optimize their tasks, whether it’s drafting documents, analyzing data, or managing complex projects. This trend underscores a transition towards professional practices where technology becomes a daily partner.

Regular and Diverse Use
The Apec survey also details the frequency of AI use among executives.
Approximately 35% of surveyed executives report regularly using AI tools:
- 12% use them daily or almost daily,
- 23% use them at least once a week,
- 14% of executives use AI at least once a month,
- 13% use them more occasionally.
- However, 38% of executives state they never use these technologies, revealing a still significant portion of reluctance or lack of awareness.
These figures reflect a gradual integration of AI into professional routines. Tools like our ChatGPT available for free on Yiaho, capable of generating text, answering complex questions, or automating tasks, are appealing due to their versatility.
However, the significant proportion of resistant executives suggests that support and training efforts are still needed to generalize their use.
Companies Embrace AI at All Levels
On the corporate side, the study shows a growing confidence in AI.
In 2025:
- 76% of large companies are convinced of its usefulness, a spectacular increase of 14 points compared to the previous year.
- Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are following the trend, with 55% recognizing the benefits of AI (+11 points).
- Even very small businesses (VSBs) are opening up to these technologies, with 49% favorable opinions (+7 points).
This evolution reflects a cultural shift within organizations. Companies, regardless of their size, are increasingly encouraging their employees to integrate AI into their processes. Automation of repetitive tasks, improved decision-making through data analysis, or personalization of customer services: AI applications are multiplying, and the perceived benefits encourage management to invest in these technologies.

Towards a Sustainable Transformation of Work?
The growing adoption of AI, driven by younger generations and supported by companies, outlines a professional world undergoing profound change. While executives under 35 are leading the way, all active professionals are called upon to adapt to these tools that redefine skills and work methods. Companies, for their part, seem ready to support this transition, aware of the productivity and innovation gains that AI can bring.
The Apec study highlights a decisive turning point: AI is no longer a technological curiosity, but a strategic lever for executives and companies. By 2025, its widespread adoption could reshape the landscape of work, with younger generations at the forefront of this transformation.
