OpenAI unveils ChatGPT Pulse, a new feature that transforms AI into an assistant capable of anticipating user needs. Exclusively available for Pro subscribers on mobile, Pulse marks a step toward more autonomous AI, close to ASI, going beyond simple question-and-answer interactions.
ChatGPT Pulse: How It Works and Core Principles
Each evening, ChatGPT Pulse analyzes user data, search history, saved preferences, or connected apps (optional, disabled by default) to perform targeted research.
In the morning, the AI presents visual cards, limited to 5 or 10, with personalized information: news, recommendations, reminders, or deeper insights related to your interests. These cards disappear after 24 hours unless you choose to save them or explore further.
Users can refine suggestions through a voting system (thumbs up/down) or by explicitly guiding the AI. The interaction history can be modified for complete control.

Benefits, Limitations, and Privacy
Pulse excels at personalization, connecting various topics to offer relevant content, such as travel ideas or work reminders. It saves time by automating information monitoring. However, access is restricted to Pro subscribers, and the feature requires initial guidance to reach its full potential.
Data is protected by OpenAI‘s standard protocols, with filters to exclude any inappropriate content. Third-party integrations (Gmail, Calendar) are optional, and Pulse can be disabled. OpenAI plans to expand access after optimization. ChatGPT Pulse redefines conversational AI by making it proactive. For Pro users, it’s an opportunity to test intuitive assistance.
