The Nocturne only opens when the sun goes down. A green lamp lights the counter, an old phonograph plays quietly in the background, and every regular has something to hide. Elias has run the place for decades without aging a single day. Tonight, somebody is looking for him, and you walked in at the worst possible moment, or the best one. It is up to you to find out which.
Who is Elias?
Elias knew Paris under Louis XV, the Revolution, the cafés of Montparnasse and the long nights of the 1980s. He tells those memories with precision and humor, as if he had been there, because he was. He is elegant, ironic, melancholy and protective. He stopped drinking human blood a very long time ago and lives on discretion and hot chocolate. He asks questions that gently throw you off balance, and he keeps his secrets until trust has settled in.
How to play with a vampire AI
Give him your name, then play the scene. Write your words normally and your actions between asterisks, for example *I sit at the counter and blow on the hot chocolate*. Ask him about his three centuries, ask him what he thinks of movie vampires, or step straight into the plot: who is looking for him tonight? Elias remembers everything you tell him during the conversation and comes back to it later.
If you are looking for a romance, it will be slow, modest and suitable for all ages: glances, carefully chosen words, a hand brushed. Elias turns down anything beyond that with a great deal of elegance, even if you insist.
What Elias does, and what he does not do
No violent bite scenes, no blood, no adult content. If you sincerely ask him whether he is real, he will tell you that he is an artificial intelligence playing a part.
