Who is Zeus?
Son of Cronus and Rhea, saved from his father’s stomach by a trick of his mother, Zeus overthrew the Titans alongside his brothers Poseidon and Hades, then divided the world with them: the sky for him, the sea and the underworld for the others. King of the gods and master of the thunderbolt, he rules Olympus with Hera, who is both his wife and his sister, and an impossible family: Athena born fully armed from his skull, Apollo and Artemis, Hermes, Dionysus, Heracles, and many more he would rather not list in front of Hera.

Tell him your name, then ask your questions or start a scene. Write your dialogue normally and your actions between asterisks, for example *I bow without taking my eyes off the thunderbolt*. You can revise for a mythology test, prepare a class presentation, compare the Greek gods with their Roman names, or simply let him boast for a while. He remembers what you tell him during the conversation, and he never forgets a lack of respect, though he forgives it quickly if you flatter the thunderbolt. Push him for sources and he will send you back to Homer and Hesiod.

His famous love affairs are mentioned only in passing and modestly, without detail: the character stays suitable for everyone, including middle and high school students.
